'Hulk Vs' DVD

Marvel's newest animated movie Hulk Vs is finally being released. I gave a preview of it back in July, but Marvel has now finally released some information about the dvd release.

Hulk Vs is a dvd that includes two 45 minute movies. One of them being Hulk vs. Thor and the other being Hulk vs. Wolverine.

HULK VS. THOR SYNOPSIS
It's gods versus monsters in this epic forty-five minute movie. For ages, Loki the trickster has sought a way to bring defeat to his accursed stepbrother, Thor. But for all the battles Thor has fought, in all the nine realms, only one creature has ever been able to match his strength—a mortal beast of Midgard known as The Incredible Hulk. Now, with Odin the king of the gods deep in a regenerative sleep, and the forces protecting Asgard at their weakest, Loki is finally ready to spring his trap. In a classic battle that will test a hero's limits more than ever before, only the mighty Thor can hope to prevail.

HULK VS. WOLVERINE SYNOPSIS
The Incredible Hulk has been tearing a line across the Canadian wilderness, leaving a swath of destruction in his wake. He has to be stopped, and there's only one man up to the job. He's the best at what he does, but what he does isn't very nice. He's Wolverine, an elite agent of Canada's top secret Department H, and he's been put on Hulk's trail with a single objective: stop the green goliath…at all costs. Hulk and Wolverine are about to enter the fiercest battle of their lives.

Hulk Vs will be available on DVD, Special Edition DVD and Blu-ray on January 27, 2009 for the suggested retail prices of $19.98, $24.98 and $29.99, respectively. The Standard Edition DVD features collectible 3D lenticular packaging.

Marvel's Next Avengers on Sale Today!

The Next Avengers are on sale starting today. The only place that I found that is offering anything exclusive is Best Buy. If you buy the DVD for $14.99, it'll come with a free comic book. The Blu-Ray is selling for $24.99.

Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow

I haven't talked much about Marvel's new straight to DVD animated movie Next Avengers, so I've decided to go over some bits considering it's being released Sept. 2nd.

Synopsis:

Whenever the forces of evil threatened mankind, Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers, were there to stop them – until they made the ultimate sacrifice in their final fight with the indestructible robot, Ultron.

But all was not lost, for Tony Stark(Iron Man) kept the children of the Avengers safe and raised them to become the teenage heroes of tomorrow.

Now James (son of Captain America and Black Widow), Torunn (daughter of Thor), Azari (son of the Black Panther), and Pym (son of Wasp and Giant Man) must finish the fight their parents started. Soon the arrow slinging son of Hawkeye will join their ranks, but it will take more than five teens to destroy the machine that defeated their parents.

If these young heroes have any hope of winning, they must find the missing Hulk and come together as The Next Avengers!

It seems unlikely that a group of kids could defeat an enemy that their legendary parents couldn't, but we'll have to wait and see if this is any good. Pre-order the DVD if you want on Amazon for $15, or the Blu-Ray for $20. Here's a short clip.

The Hulk's Lame DVD Cover

Here's the supposed dvd cover for the Incredible Hulk. It is for the 3-Disc Special Edition. What's on the third disc? Probably that extra 70 minutes of the movie that they cut out. The cover looks so much like a video game cover. I would have liked something less...cheesy. No official release date but I assume that it'll be in October.

Iron Man DVD Coming Sept. 30th

It was announced that the movie will come out on dvd Spetember 30th. It'll have a Single disc edition, a Two-disc special edition, and a Blu-ray special edition. No word on the special features included in each of the editions but I did find this picture of the supposed cover of the Two-disc special edition of Iron Man. It could be a mock up or it could be real. Who knows. We'll just have to wait about 10 weeks to find out. A little too long for me.
