No More Nick Fury?

Sam Jackson said in an interview that he and Marvel Studios are having some trouble with negotiations and that there might not even be a Nick Fury at all for Iron Man 2, Captain America, or The Avengers. He said:

"There was a huge kind of negotiation that broke down. I don't know. Maybe I won't be Nick Fury. Maybe somebody else will be Nick Fury or maybe Nick Fury won't be in it. There seems to be an economic crisis in the Marvel Comics world so [they're saying to me], 'We're not making that deal.'"

Marvel Studios say that they are still interested in having Sam Jackson back as Nick Fury, but I assume that they might not have the money for it. With big name actors taking up roles as the Avengers, Marvel probably is have trouble paying all the actors what they are worth.
